What are benign bone tumors and malignant bone tumors?

Tumors are characterized by unrestricted proliferation of the same type of cells and are considered benign if they are only increasing in number, constantly occupying space in the body and causing only pressure on the surrounding tissues. The current treatment of tumors is still based on surgical removal of these mutated cell populations as the main means. Once the tumor cells acquire the ability to infiltrate into the surrounding tissues and metastasize to the distant phrenic organs, they are considered as malignant tumors. At present, it is advisable to diagnose malignant bone tumors as early as possible and use a combination of treatment including surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and biotherapy.
