When brain metastases appear in the late stage of cancer, generally the situation may not be good and the survival time is not long, but it also depends on which type of cancer it is and whether the brain metastases are single or multiple decisions. In some malignant tumors, such as malignant melanoma, which is highly malignant in itself and has brain metastasis, most of them may have a survival time of six months to one year. In the case of brain metastasis from pancreatic cancer, it is possible that the survival time is less than six months. There are also some cases like lung cancer brain metastasis, which may be treated with targeted drugs and have a longer survival time, more than five years. However, there is no way to tell how long the survival time is, but we can only see it while treatment. Generally, brain metastasis may lead to increase in intracranial pressure, which can be treated with dehydrating and cranial pressure lowering drugs such as mannitol and pain relieving drugs, and radiotherapy can be considered for brain metastases.
