There is no such thing as the fastest way to lower a child’s temperature. Fever in children is considered to be related to infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases and indigestion. Physical antipyretic and oral medication can be used to reduce fever, and the primary disease should also be treated. 1. Infectious diseases: Infectious diseases include bacterial infections, viral infections, fungal infections, parasitic infections and so on, which may cause fever. Bacterial infections can be given cefixime, cefadroxil, amoxicillin and other drugs. Viral infections such as ribavirin and oseltamivir may be given. For fungal infections, ketoconazole, etc. may be given. For parasitic infections, drugs such as albendazole may be given. 2. Autoimmune diseases: Autoimmune diseases including lupus erythematosus, dry syndrome, vasculitis, inflammatory bowel disease, etc. may also cause fever. Treatment drugs include naproxen, aspirin, dexamethasone, methotrexate, etc. Patients with severe symptoms may need to undergo surgery and other treatments. 3. Indigestion leads to internal heat, it is recommended to eat a reasonable diet, use warm water towels, fever-reducing patches, which is conducive to the decline of body temperature. If the axillary temperature exceeds 38.5℃, physical cooling can be combined with ibuprofen and acetaminophen treatment. Children with elevated body temperature, it is recommended to clarify the cause before treatment, parents should not blindly use drugs to avoid masking the condition.
