How long after breast cancer surgery can you live a normal life?

Breast cancer does not need chemotherapy after surgery, and can lead a normal life in three to four months; if chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other adjuvant treatments are needed, the time will be relatively prolonged. The recovery time of breast cancer patients after surgery is usually related to the patient’s physical condition and post-surgery care; patients with good physical condition, after good post-surgery care, and without wound infection and inflammation, they can return to normal life in three months or so; patients with weak physical condition, or with wound infection or other infections after surgery, the recovery time may take about four months. Patients with middle and late stage breast cancer may need chemotherapy after surgery, which may bring serious adverse reactions to patients, such as strong nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms; it will lead to prolonged recovery time, patients should be in the right frame of mind, pay attention to increase nutrition and enhance physical fitness in order to achieve faster recovery. Breast cancer patients should follow the instructions to perform follow-up treatment after surgery, and should seek medical consultation in time if they feel unwell.
