How much gallbladder adenomyosis wall thickness should be operated on

Gallbladder adenomyosis is usually recommended to consider surgical treatment when the wall thickness exceeds 1cm. Gallbladder adenomyosis is a benign gallbladder disease characterized by hyperplasia of the glands and muscularis propria, and a type of proliferative disease of the gallbladder, which is characterized by chronic hyperplasia with degenerative changes. Most of these diseases are benign, with a few cases of malignancy. If the thickness of gallbladder adenomyosis exceeds 1cm, or if the thickness has increased significantly recently, the possibility of gallbladder tumor cannot be excluded, and surgical resection is recommended. Combined with gallbladder stones, gallbladder polyps or symptoms of cholecystitis such as abdominal pain and fever, surgery is also needed. If the wall thickness of gallbladder adenomyosis exceeds 1cm, laparoscopic minimally invasive cholecystectomy is recommended. If the indications for surgery are not met, it is recommended to have a light diet, ultrasound examination every six months, and regular follow-up to observe whether there is any change in the lesion.
