Post-electrical defibrillation care

Patients in cardiac arrest are usually caused by malignant arrhythmias such as ventricular fibrillation, and cardiac arrest caused by ventricular fibrillation requires electrical defibrillation treatment. The care after electric defibrillation: 1, fasting, continuous cardiac monitoring, close observation of the patient’s heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, facial color, mental status, etc., and give discretionary treatment according to the situation; 2, check whether the intravenous access and monitoring pipeline is smooth to ensure emergency medication, hemodynamic monitoring; 3, after defibrillation, it is necessary to pay attention to the local skin for burns, and strengthen the post-resuscitation care for cerebral edema, cardiac insufficiency and other complications. After defibrillation, continue to use amiodarone and other drugs to maintain sinus rhythm.
