Cystic nodules need no treatment if they are multiple and benign, with regular follow-up. Surgery can be considered for larger cysts with compression symptoms, and surgery is needed if malignancy is suspected.
1. Small benign cysts: If the cysts occur in the liver or kidney, they are generally multiple and benign, and do not require surgery, with regular follow-up.
2. Large cysts: If the cysts are large and produce compression symptoms, localized pain, distension with a sense of pressure, or abnormalities in liver or kidney function, surgery may be considered.
3. Suspected malignancy: if the cyst occurs on the thyroid gland, usually nodular goiter or thyroid adenoma cystic degeneration, if the patient has neck pain, pressure, the need for surgical resection, intraoperative pathology, if malignancy is suspected, it should also be carried out lymph node dissection and so on.
If patients find cystic nodules, they should consult a doctor in time, complete the examination, and determine the specific treatment plan according to the location, size, number and nature of the nodules.
