Why is the wound still red after a month of healing?

Redness after a month of wound healing may be caused by slow healing, superficial scarring, wound infection and so on. It is recommended to go to the hospital regularly for rechecking after the wound has recovered, so as to know the condition of the wound.
1. Slow healing: Some patients have sensitive skin and may experience redness even after a month of wound healing, but if the wound is only red and there are no other symptoms, the patient does not need to worry.
2. Superficial scar: If there is still a slight redness after one month of wound healing, it may be superficial scar, which belongs to the superficial scar of physiological repair, and it will fade gradually.
3. Wound infection: if the patient’s wound is still red after one month of healing, accompanied by abscesses, pain and other symptoms, it may be caused by infection at the wound site.
Depending on your situation, the solution will be different. If you need to use medicine to treat, must strictly follow the doctor’s instructions to take medication, do not arbitrarily modify the dose of drugs, so as not to cause the wound aggravation.
