What to look for in the early stages of laryngeal cancer

Early symptoms of laryngeal cancer mainly include hoarseness and blood in sputum. According to different types of laryngeal cancer, typical early symptoms are also different. 1. Supraglottis laryngeal cancer: there are no typical symptoms in early stage, and occasionally there is foreign body sensation in the throat. Gradually, there will be sore throat, blood in sputum, even hoarseness and dyspnea. 2. Pharyngeal laryngeal cancer: hoarseness is the main symptom in the early stage, and the symptom gradually worsens with the growth of the tumor; if the cancer grows further, dyspnea will occur. 3. Subglottic laryngeal cancer: this type of laryngeal cancer has hoarseness at an early stage, and gradually has dyspnea, which is often accompanied by enlarged lymph nodes in the neck. If the above clinical symptoms occur, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals in time for laryngoscopy and pathological examination to confirm the diagnosis and then follow the doctor’s instruction for treatment.
