Motherwort for UTI?

The single herb motherwort is not used to treat uremia. Uremia is related to edema in Chinese medicine, and motherwort enters the heart meridian, bladder meridian, and liver meridian, which can mainly clear heat and detoxify the toxin (removing heat and toxicity in the body), diuretic and eliminate swelling (facilitating urination and eliminating edema), and activate the blood and regulate menstruation (regulating menstruation by activating the blood), which is helpful for edema caused by water stasis and mutual intertwinement. Motherwort can clear heat and detoxify toxins, treating sores, carbuncles, swollen poisons and addictive rashes after heat-toxicity blazing (too much fire in the body); it can diuretic and eliminate edema, treating edema and dysuria (unruly urination) after water and stasis stagnation; and it can invigorate blood circulation and regulate menstruation, treating amenorrhea, menorrhagia, irregular menstruation and post-partum abdominal pains after blood stasis stagnation. Pregnant women should use it with caution. Uremia requires timely medical treatment and can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine, but relying solely on motherwort is not possible, and is only helpful for edema caused by stasis of blood and water-dampness intertwining. If you need to take motherwort need to be in the doctor’s guidance under the rational use.
