Myths about asthma treatment

Many parents mistakenly believe that antibiotics are all-powerful and use them as soon as their children have an attack, and some parents often take the initiative to ask their doctors to hang certain antibiotics, which is a misconception. This is a misconception. Croup is triggered by a variety of factors, among which bacterial infection is only a small part, among the infectious factors, viral infection accounts for the majority, in addition to mycoplasma Chlamydia infection, exposure to allergens is also one of the triggering factors. Therefore, most children do not need antibiotics. However, antibiotics can only play the role of anti-infection and cannot eliminate the metabolic inflammation of bronchial mucosa, so it cannot solve the fundamental problem of asthma. Some parents only pay attention to the treatment of asthma attacks, and once the condition improves, they relax the diagnosis and treatment, treating asthma as cold and diarrhea and ignoring or not paying attention to the treatment of remission period. This is a misconception. My opinion is that we should pay attention to the treatment of the exacerbation period as well as seize the opportunity to treat the remission period. Emphasis on asthma “hair treatment, good also treatment” — treatment to fight a protracted war. 3, emphasis on medicine rather than prevention “famous doctors do not cure asthma, cure asthma smacked bowl”, which shows that asthma is a difficult miscellaneous evidence. Chinese medicine believes that “asthma has persistent roots”, it is easy to relieve but difficult to cure, but it is not an incurable disease, it is controllable, treatable and preventable. Some parents pay attention to asthma medication but neglect asthma prevention and treatment. I think that treatment is one aspect, but prevention is more important, and it is a matter for thousands of families. In addition to physical factors, there are many external causes of asthma, and sometimes recurrent asthma attacks can be avoided with scientific prevention. Prevention of cold and flu, from food, clothing, housing and transport prevention, blocking the onset of the link, will not recurring attacks. Avoid contact with allergens such as seafood, pollen and dust mites, and avoid strenuous exercise or preventive medication before exercise. 4.Asthma does not need to be treated, it will heal itself when it grows up (adolescence can heal itself) Some parents think that asthma can heal itself after adolescence, which is a misconception. It is true that a small number of children with asthma have few attacks in infancy and early childhood, 1-3 times a year, and the attacks are treated promptly and the symptoms are not severe, so they can heal themselves after adolescence. However, most children with asthma are cured by active treatment. Therefore, we believe that we should actively respond, take the initiative and do a good job in prevention and treatment, and not wait passively. Otherwise, if we miss the best time for treatment, and the asthma does not improve in adolescence and develops into adult asthma, it will be too late and regretful for life. 5, hormone vegetarian fear psychology Glucocorticoids are the most effective drugs to eliminate airway non-specific inflammation, the main mechanism of action is: to prevent the chemotaxis and activation of inflammatory cells, especially eosinophils; inhibit the production of cytokines; interfere with the metabolism of carbotetraenoic acid; inhibit the synthesis and release of leukotrienes and prostaglandin-like mediators; reduce microvascular leakage; increase the responsiveness of airway smooth muscle to β-agonists. Since the molecular structure of Pramipexole (Budesonide) is different from that of dexamethasone and hydrocodone, it basically does not enter the blood circulation and the side effects are greatly reduced, only 1% of the side effects of systemic hormones. The inhalation dosage is 1/50 to 1/100 of the oral or intravenous dosage, but the effect is 500-1000 times of the systemic dosage. Pulmicort aerosol is a lipid-soluble hormone, which mainly acts directly on the airway surface, while dexamethasone and other water-soluble hormones are suitable for intravenous systemic use and not for nebulized inhalation surface use. Glucocorticosteroids have an exact and reliable effect on systemic administration and local inhalation treatment in patients with acute severe exacerbation of asthma in remission. Inhaled medication acts directly on the respiratory tract, with strong local anti-inflammatory effects and few systemic adverse effects.
