Criteria for dialysis in renal failure

The most common criteria for dialysis in renal failure is whether the creatinine value reaches the standard. Dialysis should be considered for patients with chronic renal failure with creatinine greater than 707μmol/L. Dialysis should also be considered if the patient has the following clinical symptoms without high creatinine: 1, the body water load is relatively heavy, pulmonary edema, refractory hyperkalemia or metabolic acidosis and uncorrectable hyperphosphatemia, hypercalcemia, hypocalcemia are considered for dialysis; 2, when uremic encephalopathy or neuropsychiatric symptoms appear 3, if the anemia is not well corrected, consider toxin causes, even if the creatinine value is not particularly high, you can also consider dialysis; 4, some patients with diabetic nephropathy, the creatinine value is relatively low, less than 707μmol/L also recommended dialysis. Some patients, because of more water, may affect the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular, especially heart failure, early dialysis treatment may have better effect.
