Untreated uterine adhesions may have physical effects, such as the possibility of abnormal menstruation, cyclic abdominal pain, and may affect pregnancy. Clinically, it can be left untreated if there is no fertility requirement.
1. Abnormal menstruation. If a woman has adhesions in the uterine cavity, resulting in partial or total occlusion of the uterine cavity, the menstrual blood can not be discharged smoothly, which may lead to a significant decrease in the amount of menstruation, or even amenorrhea.
2. Cyclic abdominal pain. When there are adhesions in the uterine cavity, the menstrual blood can not be discharged from the uterine cavity, which may lead to cyclic abdominal pain.
3. Affecting pregnancy. In women with uterine adhesions, the sperm and egg may not be able to unite or the fertilized egg may not be able to implant in the uterine cavity, which may lead to infertility or repeated miscarriages.
