Red eyes need to identify the cause, may be physiological factors, may be conjunctivitis, iridocyclitis or scleritis and other diseases caused by different causes, treatment is not the same. 1. Physiological factors: lack of sleep, prolonged fatigue, long time looking at electronic products, excessive use of eyes and other bad habits can cause red eye symptoms, this situation generally does not require treatment, the patient can be relieved after adjusting the habits of life, adequate rest, and reasonable arrangements for eye use. 2. Pathologic factors: (1) conjunctivitis: manifested as foreign body sensation in the eyes, burning sensation, increased secretion, red and itchy eyes, photophobia, tearing and other symptoms, infectious. The treatment mainly uses local medication such as levofloxacin eye drops, and if necessary, combined with systemic medication, such as penicillin, chloramphenicol and other antibiotics. (2) Iridocyclitis: manifested as eye pain, iris congestion, photophobia, tearing, blurred vision, significant loss of vision and other symptoms. The treatment mainly adopts medication, commonly used drugs include glucocorticoid, antibacterial or antiviral drugs, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and pupil-dilating drugs. (3) Scleritis: mainly manifested as eye pain, vision loss and scleral congestion. Treatment is based on anti-inflammatory, including glucocorticoids, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and so on. Patients with symptoms of red eyes, if they are not relieved by the method of lifestyle adjustment, they should consult a doctor in time to find out the cause of active treatment.
