Fibrobronchial endoscopy requires some attention. First, explain the purpose of the examination to the patient being examined, eliminate inner fear and obtain cooperation. During the examination, pay attention to check whether there are any abnormal secretions and foreign bodies in the airway and mouth, and whether the airway is open. In addition, fasting and abstaining from drinking for about 5-6 hours before the examination. And check the electrocardiogram and take X-ray of both lungs to make sure the heart and lungs are functioning normally. Prepare the appropriate resuscitation items before the examination to prevent shock. Keep the patient in a lying position, observe the patient’s vital signs at all times when giving anesthetics, and let the patient do swallowing exercises and deep breathing. The examination process must be gentle, clear the examination site and shorten the operation time as much as possible. Bronchial fiberoptic endoscopy is mainly used to remove foreign bodies from the airway, as well as for local medication and lung cleaning, and to take biopsies of lung-occupying lesions for pathological examination to clarify the cause.
