What is allergic rhinitis?

Allergic rhinitis is a disease caused by the inhalation of external allergic antigens, with nasal itching, sneezing and runny nose as the main symptoms. Also known as allergic rhinitis, it is a metamorphic reaction in the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity caused by increased sensitivity of the body to certain allergens (also known as allergens), and is a common manifestation of respiratory allergic reactions, which sometimes coexist with bronchial asthma. Due to the seasonal increase or decrease of allergens or the persistence of the disease, the onset of the disease is seasonal (commonly known as kwashiorkor hayfever) or perennial patients, and inhalant asthma like often have obvious genetic allergy (atopy). Itching of the conjunctiva, palate, and external auditory canal may be present during episodes of disease. Allergic rhinitis is a global health problem that can lead to many diseases and loss of workforce. Allergic rhinitis, also known as allergic rhinitis, is a metamorphic reaction in the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity due to increased sensitivity to certain allergens (also known as allergens). The clinical symptoms of allergic rhinitis are similar to those of “congested nose” and “congested sneeze” in Chinese medicine. The symptoms of allergic rhinitis vary according to the stimulus, the time of exposure to the allergen, the number of allergens and the reaction status of the patient’s body. The symptoms of perennial allergic rhinitis can occur at any time, sometimes mildly and sometimes severely, and often coexist with other allergic diseases of the body. Seasonal allergic rhinitis has seasonal episodes. Typical symptoms of allergic rhinitis: paroxysmal, continuous sneezing, often in the morning, sometimes several to dozens of sneezes. At the same time, there may be itching in the nose, eyes and throat. Patients often use their hands to dig their nostrils and rub their noses, and even rubbing their noses red does not relieve the itchiness. Due to the edema of nasal mucosa, nasal obstruction is caused and the sense of smell is diminished.
