The typical symptoms of allergic rhinitis allergic rhinitis are mainly paroxysmal sneezing, clear nasal discharge, nasal congestion and nasal itching. Some of them are accompanied by hyposmia. 1.Sneezing: several paroxysmal attacks several times a day, more than 3 each time, mostly in the morning or at night or immediately after contact with allergens. 2. Clear nasal discharge: large amount of clear watery nasal discharge, sometimes unconsciously dripping down from the nostrils. 3.Nasal congestion: intermittent or continuous, unilateral or bilateral, with different degrees of severity. 4.Itchy nose: most patients have itchy nose, hay fever patients may have itchy eyes, itchy ears and itchy throat. 5.Examination: pale mucous membrane of the tip of the nose, edema of both inferior turbinates, clear or mucous mucus can be seen in the common nasal tract and nasal floor. I found in the process of clinical consultation that many patients mistook the above-mentioned symptoms for a cold and took many anti-cold drugs, but still did not see any effect. The correct treatment for this disease is symptomatic treatment, i.e. drug therapy; commonly used drugs are: antihistamines such as loratadine, cetirizine, etc., which are effective in treating nasal itching, sneezing and increased nasal discharge; nasal glucocorticoids such as Berkner, Renolcort, Cochlear, Nesuna, etc., which have strong local effects on the nasal mucosa without systemic side effects; mast cell stabilizers such as sodium cromoglycate, etc., which can relieve nasal symptoms; nasal decongestants such as ephedrine, etc. decongestants such as ephedrine can quickly reduce nasal congestion symptoms. If the root of the problem is to be solved, desensitization therapy is needed. The WHO Opinion on Allergen Immunotherapy states that “desensitization therapy is the only possible cure for allergic diseases”. At present, the common methods used in our hospital are sublingual desensitization and injection desensitization. The results for mite allergy are still very significant.
