The role of MIGUDA

The active substance of MIGUDA is zoledronic acid, a third-generation bisphosphonate osteoclast inhibitor, which can be used for the inhibition of cancer bone metastases and the control of cancer bone pain, in addition, it can also be used for osteoporosis caused by other conditions. According to the current research on the mechanism of malignant tumor bone metastasis, local osteoclasts are often activated before the formation of bone metastases, producing osteolytic foci, creating an environment conducive to the attachment of tumor cells, and inhibiting osteoclast activity can help control the further expansion of existing bone metastases and the generation of new bone metastases, combined with radiotherapy and targeted therapy, can also effectively control cancer bone pain. It should be noted that the blood calcium index should be strictly monitored during the administration of this drug, and the fluid supplementation as well as the IV rate should not be too fast in order to avoid infusion reaction and hypocalcemia. The usage for cancer bone metastasis is 4mg IV, repeated every 28 days.
