How to treat scars with scarring

For people with keloid scars, local closure, isotope therapy, and surgical treatment can be chosen to deal with the keloid depending on the condition of the scar.
After a wound appears on the skin, keloid people will often be accompanied by excessive proliferation of fibrous connective tissue in the process of wound healing, and this excessive proliferation is an over-repair of the wound, which will lead to the appearance of keloid scars.
1. Local closure: for those with limited scarring and mild symptoms, local closure can be used to improve the local fibrous overgrowth, and the commonly used clinical drugs include trimethoprim and 5-fluorouracil.
2. Isotope therapy: For those with obvious scar proliferation, isotope therapy can also be chosen. The treatment is to promote scar contraction through radioactive nuclide, so as to play the role of inhibiting scar proliferation and softening the scar.
3. Surgery: Surgical excision can be considered when conservative treatment is ineffective, but surgery is also invasive, and after the incision heals, there is still a possibility that a more obvious scar will form again, so it is usually combined with regular radiotherapy to prevent.
Keloid should be standardized treatment under the guidance of specialists, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital in time to avoid delayed treatment.
