The number of years of life after removal of ovarian malignant tumor depends on the type and stage of the tumor as well as the individual condition of the patient, and cannot be generalized. If the malignancy of ovarian malignant tumor is low or found early, the tumor is slow in occurrence and development, distant metastasis has not yet appeared, and the patient is in good physical condition, the 5-year survival rate can reach 90% after surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy. If the ovarian malignant tumor is more malignant or in the middle or late stage, the tumor has already developed intra-abdominal or distant metastasis, mostly in the liver and lung, and the patient’s physical condition is poor, the 5-year survival rate after surgery is only 10%. Therefore, patients with ovarian malignant tumor should maintain an optimistic attitude and actively cooperate with doctors to carry out symptomatic treatment according to specific conditions in order to improve the quality of life and prolong the survival time.
