Please ask a few questions about ovarian cancer

Patient: Hello, Dr. Liu. My mother had surgery in September 2010 for ovarian cancer 3c, hypofractionated, CA125 was over 3000 before surgery, all that could be removed from the ovaries, uterus, appendix and greater omentum were removed during surgery, the surgeon recommended 3 years of chemotherapy, 8 times in the first year, 3 to 4 times in the second year and 1 to 2 times in the third year. The first year is 8 times, the second year is 3 to 4 times, and the third year is 1 to 2 times. The current chemotherapy regimen: vincristine + carboplatin), now chemotherapy 7 times, CA125 post-operative more than 130, after chemotherapy has been a declining trend, the rate of decline from fast to slow, the 6th time down to 4.8, 7 times up to 6, during chemotherapy has been eating to support the main Chinese medicine (mainly to raise white blood cells), but white blood cells have never exceeded 4.0, before the seventh chemotherapy is 3.5. chemotherapy to play white blood injection. I have a few questions for you: 1) Is it possible that CA125 has started to develop resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs because it has rebounded after 7 chemotherapy treatments? 2) How many times should I do biotherapy after 8 times of chemotherapy? 3) Is there any conflict if I drink Chinese medicine (soup) while doing biotherapy? “Do I need to keep taking it? Thank you very much for your reply in your busy schedule! Wenxin Liu, Department of Gynecologic Oncology, Tianjin Cancer Hospital: 1) Is the rebound of CA125 after 7 times of chemotherapy starting to develop resistance to chemotherapy drugs? Or is it related to the spring season? This slight rebound is of no significance, no need to worry, 125 will fluctuate within a normal range for a period of time, a little higher and a little lower is possible. 2) After 8 chemotherapy sessions, how many times should I prepare for biotherapy? There is no limit to the number of times, and it is better to do more if the economic power allows. (3) Is there any conflict with drinking Chinese medicine (tonics) while doing biological therapy? There is no conflict. 4) What is the chemotherapy regimen recommended by the surgeon and would like to hear your opinion? Now you are using the first-line regimen, which is good. (5) Do you need to take the oral “Gao Jusheng Oral Liquid” (formerly called “BM”) from Shenyang Union Group to improve immunity? I have never used this drug, but it is one of the drugs that can be used in conjunction with chemotherapy, and it is not necessary to use it when doing biological therapy.
