Can I have a painless gastroscopy for sinus tachycardia?

Gastroscopy is recommended for people with physiologic sinus tachycardia, but is not recommended for people with cardiac tachycardia. The anesthesiologist should evaluate the overall condition of the patient before performing a painless gastroscopy. A complete electrocardiogram (ECG) is a routine test to rule out cardiac problems to a certain extent. If the electrocardiogram indicates sinus tachycardia, organic pathology should be excluded before further painless gastroscopy is considered. Sinus tachycardia can be caused by strenuous exercise, nervousness, smoking and drinking, hyperthyroidism, acute myocardial infarction, etc. Except for normal physiological reasons such as nervousness, strenuous exercise, smoking and drinking, sinus tachycardia caused by cardiac disease is not recommended to undergo painless gastroscopy in order to avoid accidents during operation, and may be replaced by normal gastroscopy or other examinations depending on the situation.
