Can you recover from a broken hamstring?

A broken hamstring can usually be restored to normal after surgery and rehabilitation. You need to go to hand surgery or orthopedics in time to avoid delay. A broken hamstring should be seen in hand surgery or orthopedics within 8 hours for debridement and surgical treatment depending on the condition of the wound. If the severed end is relatively flush, such as a knife wound or a mild break, anastomosis sutures can be performed to repair it; if there is a tear, such as a car accident laceration, and the defect is long, it needs to be sutured with an autologous tendon or artificial material instead. This is followed by immobilization in a cast for at least about 4 weeks; with proper and timely treatment, it is still possible to return to basic normal function. If there is no timely treatment and a tendon atrophy, or tendon atrophy, occurs, tendon graft surgery is required, but the recovery is less effective. After the surgery, you need to receive professional rehabilitation functional exercises in the rehabilitation department. During the recovery period, it is appropriate to eat more vitamin C-rich vegetables such as carrots, green vegetables, tomatoes and protein-rich foods to promote wound healing; at the same time, pay attention to rest and avoid overexertion.
