Cephalosporin cannot be taken together with the following three major types of drugs: First, drugs containing alcoholic ingredients, such as patchouli. If it contains alcoholic preparations, the ethanol in alcohol will produce a disulfiram-like reaction with cephalosporin, which will trigger anaphylaxis. Second, cephalosporins should not be used in combination with drugs that increase nephrotoxicity, such as aminoglycosides and vancomycin, because the combination will lead to increased nephrotoxicity. Thirdly, cephalosporins should not be combined with erythromycin, tetracycline, amphotericin and certain vasoactive drugs, such as methotrexate and epinephrine, etc. Some clouding may occur after simultaneous combination, but the two drugs can be used at intervals or applied after intermediate flushing.
