Can a chest X-ray detect a new type of pneumonia?

Pneumonia caused by neocoronavirus infection is specific in CT imaging presentation and can help diagnose neocoronavirus infection. Chest X-ray is a frequently used imaging test, and CT is the main test of choice in the diagnosis of neocoronavirus pneumonia. This is because if it is early and the patient’s lesions are mild, chest radiographs are not as sensitive as CT when the lesions are not very visible, and chest radiographs may miss mild lung lesions. If screening is done, CT screening and examination is recommended. The diagnosis of pneumonia with new coronavirus is not only made with imaging tests, but also with a combination of epidemiologic history, laboratory blood tests, and most importantly, nucleic acid tests.
