The main modes of transmission of novel coronaviruses are droplet and contact transmission, and airborne transmission is unlikely. Since air is circulating and fresh, if airborne transmission exists, people throughout the country and the world will be exposed to the possibility of infection. The more definitive routes of transmission for the new coronavirus are droplet transmission, contact transmission. Aerosol and mother-to-child transmission are still being demonstrated. Aerosol transmission occurs primarily in confined spaces with high concentrations of virus. It is common in intensive care or tracheal intubation, ventilator, doing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. At this time, the patient’s respiratory tract is open and contains a high concentration of virus, which is easy to form droplets in the air, with a higher likelihood of transmission to healthcare workers; while mother-to-child and fecal-oral transmission are still being demonstrated. The presence of neo-coronavirus positives in the feces of a patient may be contagious to other persons on contact, but the likelihood of transmission is low. In conclusion, airborne transmission of Neocoronavirus is unlikely and is not a major route of Neocoronavirus transmission. Source: Dr. Yurai
