What is desensitization therapy?

1.What are dust mites? Dust mites are small animals that look like spiders but are invisible to the naked eye. They live on animal dander and are widely found in bedding, curtains, stuffed toys, air conditioning filters and the air; it is impossible to avoid them completely in life. 2.What is desensitization? Desensitization treatment is to extract the active protein from the mite body to make a biologic drug, so that patients can take it under the tongue for 2-3 minutes from low to high concentration, and after using it for 2-3 years, the body will produce immune tolerance, so that the allergy symptoms can be greatly reduced or even no longer recur. 3.If I receive desensitization treatment, do I still need allopathic medication? First of all, the effect time of desensitization treatment is relatively slow, and symptomatic drugs are still needed to control the disease before desensitization treatment takes effect; after desensitization treatment takes effect, the amount of symptomatic drugs used can be gradually reduced. 4.Why is it necessary to desensitize allergic diseases and the dangers of allergic diseases? Allergic diseases are the most common type of chronic diseases at present, and the occurrence of allergic diseases often follows a gradual deterioration of the development pattern. If allergic diseases are not treated properly, the symptoms will worsen year by year and may even develop into more serious allergies. Desensitization is the only allopathic treatment that can change the deterioration process of allergic diseases. Early desensitization treatment can significantly reduce or even completely relieve allergic symptoms, gradually reduce or even completely get rid of allopathic medication, and prevent disease aggravation and new allergies, and the efficacy can continue long after desensitization treatment is terminated. 5. Desensitization treatment cost, course of treatment and efficacy. The monthly cost of desensitization treatment is about 250 yuan, and the course of treatment is two to three years. Eighty percent of patients will have significant relief of symptoms within six months; if the treatment does not work within six months, it is recommended to increase the dose and use it for three months, and then use the subsequent course of treatment according to this dose; if the treatment is still ineffective after adjusting the dose, it is recommended to give up desensitization treatment.
