Chemotherapy is not usually needed for hyperemesis gravidarum, but it is needed for high-risk patients. Patients with hyperemesis gravidarum who are not at high risk do not require chemotherapy and can be treated by removing the contents of the uterine cavity. Hysterectomy is an option if there is no reproductive requirement and there is a greater risk of malignancy. High-risk patients may receive chemotherapy, for example, if they are over 40 years of age, if there is an abnormal increase in HCG values before the expulsion of the gravidarium, or if after the gravidarium has been cleared, the HCG values do not decline progressively but stop after they have fallen to a certain level. Chemotherapy is usually started three days before clearance. After the diagnosis of hyperemesis gravidarum needs to be cleared as soon as possible, otherwise it is easy to be malignant, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital to receive treatment in time.
