Salmon Calcitonin Nasal Spray is widely used in the treatment of osteoporosis, such as early and late postmenopausal osteoporosis, senile osteoporosis, and secondary osteoporosis, such as osteoporosis secondary to glucocorticoid therapy. In order to prevent progressive bone loss, salmon calcitonin nasal spray should be given with appropriate calcium and vitamin D supplements. It is also effective in relieving bone pain caused by osteolysis or bone loss, and in relieving the complications of osteitis deformans with bone pain and nerve damage, as well as in preventing increased bone turnover, widening of the scope of bone damage, and recurrent fractures. It can also control osteolysis secondary to breast cancer, lung cancer, myeloma or other malignant tumors, hyperparathyroidism, or hypercalcemia caused by vitamin D toxicity.
