What to do if your four-month-old falls out of bed

When a four-month-old baby falls off the bed, parents should immediately check whether the baby has abrasions, redness and swelling of the head.
1. Abrasions: Check the baby’s skin for abrasions. If the abrasions are minor, they can be sterilized with povidone-iodine; if there is more bleeding and the wounds are longer and deeper, the baby should go to the hospital for treatment promptly.
2. Redness and swelling of the head: Observe whether the baby’s head has hematoma, if there is hematoma, you can use a cold towel to apply cold compresses, do not press or rub, to avoid bleeding or edema aggravation.
3. Crying: Make sure the baby is not crying, unconscious or vomiting. If the above situation occurs, you need to go to the hospital in time to do head CT, check whether there is intracranial injury, concussion, intracranial hemorrhage and so on.
4. Other symptoms: In addition to the above, you also need to check whether the baby’s body dislocation, fracture, etc., according to the baby’s specific situation to take the appropriate symptomatic treatment.
Four-month-old baby body is relatively delicate, if the baby appears uncomfortable symptoms, should go to the hospital in time, so as not to delay the condition.
