Ginseng is also used for sore throat, scrofula and phlegm nucleus, and can be used with mint if the sore throat belongs to exogenous sensation. For those with deficiency fire, it can be used with Radix et Rhizoma Shengdi and Radix et Rhizoma Ophiopogonis.
