Most micro-invasive lung cancers do not require medication after surgery.
Microinvasive lung cancer is classified according to the new lung cancer staging guideline in 2011, which belongs to the early stage of lung cancer, with tumor volume of 3 centimeters and infiltrating foci less than 5 millimeters. Tumor tissues can be removed through radical surgery, and most of the patients are able to recover without medication as well as radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other treatments after surgery.
In conclusion, the prognosis of microinvasive lung cancer is very good, and there are statistics that the overall 5-year survival rate is 100% if complete resection is performed.
Although micro-invasive lung cancer does not need medication, it is still necessary to strictly follow the doctor’s instructions for regular review, such as chest CT, to prevent the possibility of recurrence.
