Can straightening of the physiological curvature heal itself?

Straightening of the physiologic curvature is usually caused by degenerative changes in the spine, which are difficult to heal on their own and return to normal curvature.
Physiological curvature mainly refers to the curvature of the spine in the lateral position. The normal physiological curvature of the cervical and lumbar spine is forward curvature, while the physiological curvature of the thoracic spine is backward curvature. Physiological curvature is necessary for the function of the body, and straightening of the physiological curvature may affect the function of the body, with discomfort in the early stages of the disease, or affecting the function of the body in the later stages of the disease.
In most cases, the straightening of the physiological curvature is due to structural degeneration of the spine, which is an irreversible pathological change and therefore difficult to recover to a normal curvature on its own.
However, in young people, mild straightening of the curvature due to posture, loading, etc. can be restored if the causative factors are removed.
In case of suspected straightening of the physiological curvature accompanied by pain and other uncomfortable symptoms, it is recommended that timely treatment be carried out under the guidance of a doctor.
