Glass excision surgery refers to vitrectomy. Postoperative patients can take care of themselves in terms of body position, medication change and review, as well as dietary structure to promote recovery.
1. Body position: patients without intraocular filler should adopt supine position in the early postoperative period, so as to reduce the range of movement of the eyeball to avoid intraocular hemorrhage. If the patient is filled with gas or silicone oil, the patient needs to adopt the prone position to press the retina, but the patient should avoid keeping the fixed position for a long time.
2. Medication change and review: patients need to change the medication every day, observe the vision and intraocular pressure, and go to the hospital for regular checkups after the operation.
3. Dietary structure: patients should maintain a light diet and avoid spicy and stimulating food after surgery to avoid aggravation of ocular inflammation, which will affect the recovery of the disease.
After vitrectomy, patients are advised to follow the doctor’s instructions, have regular checkups, and consult the doctor in time when discomfort occurs.
