Liver function abnormality can be divided into physiological and pathological categories, how long it takes to return to normal needs to be judged according to the cause of the disease, the severity of the disease and the patient’s specific situation, and cannot be generalized.
1. Physiological abnormality: mostly caused by eating too much greasy food, drinking a lot of alcohol and taking other drugs, which can be recovered in about 1 month after improving bad dietary habits and stopping drugs.
2. Pathological abnormalities: common diseases that cause liver function abnormalities include bile duct stones, which can be normalized within a few weeks after removing the stones and controlling the infection; viral hepatitis, which can be gradually recovered after antiviral treatment when the virus replication is inactive; and liver function abnormalities in patients with cirrhosis or advanced stage of hepatocellular carcinoma can not be completely normalized.
Liver function abnormality alone cannot accurately determine the recovery time, but also needs to be combined with the characteristics of the medical history and other test results to make an accurate judgment, it is recommended to clarify the cause of the disease under the guidance of the doctor.
