The success rate of varicocele surgery is very high, usually able to reach more than 95%. The current surgical methods for varicocele are as follows: 1. Open spermatic vein ligation via inguinal canal incision: this is a more traditional surgical method and is no longer carried out in most hospitals. Because of the high position of the surgery, some small veins may be missed, so the success rate of open spermatic vein ligation through inguinal canal incision is relatively low, maybe about 90%; 2. Laparoscopic spermatic vein ligation: this is the procedure routinely carried out in some hospitals, and it is also a common surgical method. The success rate is also quite high. 3. Microscopic spermatic vein ligation: This is the most popular gold standard procedure. This procedure has a magnifying effect under the microscope and can preserve the arteries and lymphatic vessels and ligate the veins. The success rate of this procedure is currently the highest and can reach almost 100%.
