Classification of Infertility

There are many causes of infertility, first of all, infertility is divided into two categories: relative infertility and absolute infertility. Absolute infertility is the developmental abnormality of some reproductive organs, or the mutation of genes, or the carrying of other genes affecting the reproductive function, all of these conditions can cause primary infertility, and it can also be a sign of absolute infertility. The main reason is that there is no cure for infertility because there is no way to remove these causes. For example, congenital absence of the uterus or congenital genetic disorders, such as Turner syndrome, which is a genetic finding that there is a deletion on the X chromosome or an X chromosome is missing, and this genetic mutation can affect reproductive function. There are also patients with abnormal development of the uterus, such as bicornuate uterus or naïve uterus, and even some patients with congenital absence of vagina or uterus, and so on, which all belong to the category of absolute infertility. The treatment of infertility by Chinese medicine is called relative infertility. Relative infertility is called relative infertility when some causes of infertility can be treated to achieve a condition of pregnancy.
