Clinically there is no bitter bean disease, it should refer to fava bean disease, which is treated with sodium bicarbonate, adrenocorticotropic hormone, vitamin C, vitamin E, coenzyme Q10 and other antioxidants.
Fava bean disease is a clinical type of erythrocyte glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, due to the consumption of fava beans or their products, generally from 2 hours to a few days after consumption (usually 1~2 days, the longest 15 days) the sudden onset of acute intravascular hemolysis, the treatment of this product includes general treatment, drug therapy:
1.General treatment:
(1) Stop consuming fava beans or their products, prohibit taking drugs with oxidizing properties, such as antimalarials (primaquine, pammaquine, chloroquine, etc.), analgesic and antipyretic drugs (aspirin, finasteride), sulfonamides, antimicrobials, and so on.
(2) In case of severe anemia, G-6-PD normal red blood cells can be transfused.
(3) There are often different degrees of acidosis in the hemolytic phase of serotonin disease, and the acidosis should be corrected in time.
(4) Drink more water or input fluids to promote renal excretion of acid and hemoglobinuria function.
(5) Actively control the infection.
2. Drug treatment:
(1) Sodium bicarbonate: sodium bicarbonate can keep urine alkaline to prevent hemoglobin deposition in renal tubules.
(2) Adrenocorticotropic hormone: immunosuppressive effect, should strive for early, large amounts, short-term use.
(3) Others: antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and coenzyme Q10 can stabilize the red blood cell membrane.
Serrapeptosis patients need to go to the hospital for treatment, under the guidance of the doctor to follow the doctor’s instructions for drug treatment, do not blindly take, so as not to damage the body and aggravate the condition.
