After a cerebral infarction, muscle strength grade 4 is usually able to return to normal, but whether the muscle strength can eventually be restored depends on the patient’s condition, and there is also the possibility of non-recovery.
Muscle strength usually ranges from 0 to 5, with a total of 6 grades, and grade 5 is normal muscle strength, while grade 4 muscle strength is able to do movement against certain resistance, but the muscle strength is weaker than that of grade 5. In the case of hemiplegia and numbness after cerebral infarction, if the patient’s muscle strength is in grade 4, usually after thrombolytic therapy, general medication and rehabilitation training, the muscle strength can be restored.
However, whether the muscle strength can be restored depends on the location and size of the lesion of cerebral infarction, the time from the onset of the disease to the time of consultation, etc. If the time of consultation is too late, or the lesion involves the important parts of the body, there may be sequelae, which may affect the recovery of muscle strength.
It is recommended that the patient actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment in order to maximize the recovery of muscle strength and improve the quality of life.
