What are the intervention systems for childhood dwarfism and precocious puberty?

Over the years, we have been dedicated to the research of combined Chinese and Western medicine for children’s height development, explored a new way to treat children’s dwarfism, and formed a set of natural, comprehensive and effective “combined Chinese and Western medicine intervention system for short stature and precocious puberty”, which has enabled more than a thousand dwarf children to stand out from the ranks of their peers. Regarding the application of growth hormone and gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog (GnRHa), most of the medical institutions that are currently equipped can give specific treatment plans for each child’s situation, so we will not introduce them in detail here. The following is a detailed introduction of the “Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Intervention System”, which is relatively new to us. 1, diet, nutritional guidance and Chinese medicine to regulate the function of the spleen and stomach Detailed inquiries about the feeding history and diet of the child, clinical work found that a large proportion of children with dwarfism have anorexia, paranoia, diarrhea and digestive and absorption malfunction, their bodies will lack protein, a variety of micronutrients. Nutrition not only affects the weight of children, but also their height. Therefore, the first emphasis of this intervention system is to improve the nutrition of children with dwarfism. Careful dietary guidance is given to each child to develop a reasonable and balanced recipe for each individual case. For children with anorexia and poor spleen and stomach function, Chinese herbal medicine is used for 1~3 months to regulate them. 2. Add nutrition in a reasonable and balanced way Nutrients are the “bricks and mortar” for children’s height growth, and ideal height is of course inseparable from reasonable nutrition. The growth of height mainly depends on the growth and development of long bones, i.e. the formation and deposition of colloidal matrix and its minerals. When the growth of epiphyseal cartilage is reduced, the growth of long bones is limited, and as a result, the growth of height is retarded; when the proliferation capacity of chondrocytes decreases, especially when the synthesis of osteoid matrix is reduced, the bone becomes narrower and the growth of long bones is limited. Numerous studies have confirmed that protein, zinc, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin A and iodine have a significant direct effect on height growth. Other nutrients, such as iron, riboflavin, zinc, and vitamin A, indirectly affect height growth in children by influencing appetite and immune function, and by affecting colon structure and function. The comprehensive nutrient tablets, which are carefully designed and combined according to the nutritional needs of children with dwarfism, contain various nutrients needed for height development. For example, protein is the primary “building material” for children’s growth and development. Collagen, which plays an important role in bone formation and growth, contains a large amount of special amino acids, such as glycine and proline. In the diet, only plant-based protein is not of high enough quality, especially the lysine content, which is beneficial for growth. Zinc: It is the most important nutrient that contributes to the growth of height in children. In children with chronic moderate zinc deficiency, i.e., a significant decrease in tissue and organ zinc levels and total body zinc, growth retardation occurs simultaneously. Zinc deficiency in children also directly affects the basic processes of bone cell differentiation and proliferation. In addition, zinc plays an important role in the synthesis of growth hormone and the secretion of insulin-like growth factors. Calcium and phosphorus: Calcium and phosphorus are the most abundant minerals in the body, and 99% of calcium and 80% of phosphorus are found in the bones. The calcium intake of our children is far from that of Japanese children of the same age. At the same time, because the bioavailability of calcium in plant foods is very low, children should eat more calcium-rich foods, such as milk, soy products, vegetables, etc., and supplement with calcium tablets if necessary. Children get more sunlight and physical exercise is also good for bone growth. Vitamin A: It is necessary to maintain the growth of children and also plays an important role in the activity of cells in the epiphyseal cartilage. In addition, vitamin A can also influence height growth through thyroid hormones. In addition to the direct effect of the above nutrients on height, iron, zinc, riboflavin and vitamin A can also promote children’s height growth by enhancing their appetite, promoting the secretion of their digestive juices, influencing the formation of villi in the duodenum and reducing the chance of disease. 3.Chinese herbal medicine regulates the balance of liver and kidney yin and yang. Due to the influence of environmental, cultural and light pollution factors, there is a significant increase of precocious maturity and premature tendency in children. Therefore, this intervention system promotes height growth in children while paying attention to avoiding the effects of precocious sexual maturation and early bone age development on final height. GnRHa, a gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogue that has been used in clinical practice in recent years, has limited application due to its high price. This intervention system uses Chinese herbal ingredients that nourish kidney yin and dredge liver and fire, moderately regulating the balance of liver and kidney yin and yang in children, promoting height growth while preventing precocious puberty and early bone age development, and gaining more time and space for height growth. 4.Exercise prescription In the human body, bones, like other organs, are often constantly metabolizing, and when the internal environment or the external environment changes, structural changes will also occur. When people play sports, blood circulation is accelerated, metabolism is vigorous, pituitary growth hormone secretion is significantly increased, and epiphysis (i.e. growth plate) local secretion of insulin-like growth factors is also the most, which can jointly promote the development of height. The first category is lower limb exercises: including rope skipping, high jumping, long jumping, vertical jumping, single-leg jumping, bipedal jumping, stair climbing, mountain climbing, walking, ice skating, skiing, etc. The second category is stretching exercises: including a variety of gymnastics and doing exercises on single and double poles, swimming, is also a good project for limb stretching activities. The third category is whole-body sports: including basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton and other ball sports programs and rowing, etc. 5, sleep guidance The relationship between sleep and growth hormone secretion is very close. The secretion of growth hormone varies greatly in each age group. In young children, growth hormone is only secreted during nighttime sleep, but not during daytime wakefulness; in adolescents aged 8-15, growth hormone is also secreted during daytime wakefulness, but the amount is very small, and it is mainly secreted during sleep, and the amount of growth hormone secreted during deep sleep increases sharply, which is 7.5 times of that in early childhood. The secretion of growth hormone generally starts 45 to 90 minutes after sleep, and reaches its peak in 70 minutes after sleep on average. If sleep is delayed, the release of growth hormone will be delayed or the height of the peak will be affected. If you do not sleep at night, little growth hormone is secreted. During sleep, the epiphyseal cartilage of the spine, legs and joints are all in a relaxed state, free from body pressure and gravity, and can stretch freely. Therefore, when you wake up in the morning, your height is 0.5 to 1.5 cm higher than at night, which shows that sleep is beneficial to bone development. Systematic intervention emphasizes that every child for normal growth and development and height increase should first ensure that the child has sufficient sleep time. The younger the child, the longer the sleep time should be. In general, newborns should sleep 18 to 22 hours a day; children under 1 year old should sleep 14 to 18 hours a day; children 1 to 2 years old should sleep 13 to 14 hours a day; children 2 to 4 years old should sleep 12 hours a day; children 4 to 7 years old should sleep 11 hours a day; children 7 to 15 years old should sleep 10 hours a day; adolescents 15 to 20 years old should sleep 9 to 10 hours. 6, acupressure intervention system also summarizes some of the points that have a greater role in promoting height development, such as pressing the hundred points: the hundred points are located in the center of the top of the head, at the intersection of the two ear angle straight up and the backward line of the eyebrows. Parents should press their children’s Baihui point 20-50 times a day to invigorate Yang energy, help to dispel evil and clear the head and eyes. Push San Guan: Use the index and middle fingers to push from the transverse wrist line to the transverse elbow line 100~300 times, which can regulate the spleen and stomach. Take the Sanyang and Sanyin meridians: The outer side of the arms and legs is the Sanyang meridian and the inner side is the Sanyin meridian. Take is a technique of tui na, that is, pinching with the hands. Three yang meridian to pinch from top to bottom, three yin meridian to pinch from bottom to top, 3 to 5 times each day. Rub the Yongquan point: Yongquan point in the sole of the foot at the palm, rub 30 to 50 times a day, can replenish the kidneys. In addition, there are also upper and lower height increase points on the hands, which have the effect of promoting the secretion of growth hormone by the pituitary gland. In addition, the intervention system is designed with whole-body muscle joint and acupuncture point massage instruments, which can relax the muscles and ligaments of the whole body and reduce the binding of the tense muscles on the long bones, while the mechanical massage produces a greater stimulating effect on the growth plate and promotes bone growth.
