How long does it take to get the results of thalassemia test

Thalassemia, also known as thalassemia, is a genetic disorder in which patients develop symptoms of microcytic hypochromic anemia due to an inherited genetic defect that results in impaired synthesis of the peptide chain of pearl proteins. The tests for thalassemia include a variety of tests and the time required for the tests varies significantly: the first one, the most common routine blood test, usually takes 0.5-1 hour to produce the results. The second one is hemoglobin electrophoresis test, the result of which is usually available in 2-3 days. Through hemoglobin electrophoresis test, it is possible to find out whether there are abnormal hemoglobin electrophoresis bands, if there are abnormalities, it may be thalassemia. The third type of diagnostic test is the thalassemia genetic test, which usually takes about a week to confirm which type of thalassemia is present.
