Human mycoplasma is a type of mycoplasma that is found in the urinary tract and genitalia and can cause urinary tract infections and inflammation of the reproductive system. Mycoplasma is a specific type of non-gonorrheal urethritis, a microorganism. Clinical manifestations of mycoplasma infection include yellow urine, frequent urination, incomplete urination, painful urethra, and slightly red urethral opening. In adults, the infection is transmitted mainly through sexual contact; in newborns, it is contracted during delivery from the mother’s genital tract. In adults, the site of infection is the mucosa of the urethra; in women, the site of infection is the cervix; in newborns, it can mainly cause conjunctivitis.
