What is a positive human papillomavirus type 58

HPV type 58 positive indicates the presence of HPV infection, most of this virus can be cleared by the autoimmune system, usually within one year, and most of them can be completely cleared automatically within two years. If the test is positive for HPV, further TCT is needed. If the TCT is okay, repeat screening for HPV and TCT after one year, and rest assured that both are okay; if there is still HPV infection, further cervical biopsy is needed to rule out cervical lesions. If the first TCT test reveals any problems, the next step of treatment should be decided according to the extent of the lesion.
