magic point for resolving phlegm (TCM)

Acupuncture points for resolving phlegm include Fenglong, Tiantu, and Dingtian. Fenglong is a complex point of the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian, located in the lower leg, 8 inches above the ankle and 2 transverse fingers outside the front and back of the tibia. This point can strengthen the spleen, resolve phlegm, harmonize the stomach and lower the rebelliousness (harmonize the stomach qi and make the upward rebellious qi descend). Therefore, this point can be selected for phlegm-damp cough, together with the Lung Yu and Zhongfu points. Tian Tu is in the neck area, located in the upper fossa of the sternum, on the anterior midline, and is an acupoint of the Ren vein. It can treat lung disorders such as cough, phlegm, asthma, sore throat, etc. It can also treat plum nucleus qi (similar to pharyngeal allodynia), which is characterized by phlegm-qi interruption. Tingpian acupoint is located in the spine, transverse to the 7th cervical vertebra below the spinous process, 0.5 inches to the side of the posterior median line. It can treat asthma, cough, shoulder and back pain and other conditions. If there is any discomfort, please seek medical attention.
