Flabby refers to infective endocarditis, which is an infection of the endocardium, heart valves, or adjacent large-vessel endocardium caused by pathogenic microorganisms by the bloodstream route, accompanied by the formation of flabby organisms. The common pathogens are streptococci, and in recent years, staphylococci, especially Staphylococcus aureus and enterococci, have been increasing. According to the type of valve involved, infective endocarditis can be divided into autologous valve infective endocarditis and prosthetic valve infective endocarditis, acute infective endocarditis and subacute infective endocarditis according to the urgency of the disease, with a higher incidence in men than in women and a progressive increase with age.
