Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is a separate tertiary discipline that includes Cosmetic Surgery and Restorative and Reconstructive Surgery. That is why plastic surgery has a little more connotation. All those who are preparing for cosmetic surgery must have a clear concept in their mind that cosmetic surgery is a surgical operation and traumatizes the body. While getting cosmetic results, one pays the price of traumatizing the body. That is why I hope that every person will be rational about cosmetic surgery. Any cosmetic surgery, even the smallest one, will cause trauma such as tissue edema and will definitely leave some degree of scarring. Nowadays, many beauty parlors and cosmetic surgeons are claiming to their patients that no scar will remain after the surgery, which is not objective. The so-called scarless eye bag removal, scarless breast augmentation and scarless cosmetic surgery are all impossible. Our current level of medical care is not yet able to achieve scarless healing in humans. What we cosmetic surgeons can do is to minimize trauma and scarring. But remember it is only “minimal or minimal”, never “no” scarring.
