Urinary tract infections in women may cause pain.
Urinary tract infection is an infectious disease caused by abnormal reproduction of pathogens in the urinary tract, which can be categorized into upper urinary tract infection and lower urinary tract infection according to the site of infection, among which upper urinary tract infection may cause back pain.
Upper urinary tract infections are usually pyelonephritis, which is located close to the lower back and may cause low back pain. The degree of low back pain varies and is mostly dull or aching. Physical examination may reveal pressure and (or) percussion pain in the renal region at the angle of the auxiliary spine or at the ureteral point. In addition to low back pain, patients may also have urinary symptoms such as urinary frequency, urgency and pain, as well as systemic symptoms such as fever and chills.
Female urinary tract infection may cause low back pain, but the appearance of low back pain is not necessarily a urinary tract infection. There are more causes of low back pain, such as trauma, lumbar muscle strain, lumbar disc herniation and so on.
It is recommended that patients with symptoms of low back pain go to a regular hospital in a timely manner, after clarifying the cause of the disease, under the guidance of a professional doctor for treatment, and strive for early recovery.
