The hormone used for cryptorchidism is chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), which is administered by intramuscular injection twice a week at 500 u each time for a total dose of 5,000-10,000 u. The hormone must be administered when the child is about one year old and not later than one and a half years old. During the use period, observe whether the cryptorchid descends to the scrotum or not. If it fails to descend to the scrotum, the child must be operated as soon as possible within two weeks of age. After the hormone injection, the testicles will develop, making the surgery a little easier to do. If surgery is not performed within two weeks of age, the cryptorchid may become malignant in the future, which may also affect the child’s future reproductive function. Therefore, patients with cryptorchidism must be operated early and as soon as possible within two weeks of age so that the development, fertility and sexual function of the child will not be affected in the future.
