Teething fever symptoms

Teething fever in babies is usually seen in infants between 6-12 months of age. The eruption of teeth can damage the gums, and if oral hygiene is not taken care of, it can lead to gum infection, inflammation and low fever. It may also be accompanied by gum congestion, redness and swelling of the gums, mild diarrhea, and a temperature of 38°C or higher. Teething fever, first of all, you need to pay attention to oral hygiene and sanitation, more saline to scrub the child’s gum area, which can play an anti-inflammatory and sterilizing effect. In addition, give your child more warm water to drink, drink water before and after meals to rinse the mouth, and keep the diet light and well digested. During the teething period, do not give your child too much candy or fried food. Fever is recommended to be physically cooled by warm water baths and fever patches. If the temperature exceeds 38.5°C, fever-reducing medication such as acetaminophen suspension is also required for treatment.
