What do the eight liver function tests mean?

The eight liver function tests are the basic indicators of the liver’s anabolic and secretory functions obtained by blood sampling, including glutathione aminotransferase, glutathione aminotransferase, glutamyl transpeptidase, alkaline phosphatase, total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, total protein, albumin and other indicators. Among them, glutamic oxalyl aminotransferase and glutamic alanine aminotransferase mainly reflect the damage of liver cells, and if the cells of the liver are damaged, the indicators in the blood will be increased. Glutamyl aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, total bilirubin and direct bilirubin are indicators of biliary system obstruction, and if obstruction occurs in the biliary system, these indicators will increase accordingly. Total protein and albumin reflect the synthesis function of the liver, and if the synthesis function of the liver is damaged, these two indicators will be reduced accordingly.
